Hey there — I’m Myles, but most folks know me as The Data Dude 👋

I’m a proud dad of two little ones (both under 3), and I come from an oilfield and military family rooted in Mississippi and south Louisiana. Growing up, I had the chance to live in 8 states and 3 countries, and by age 9 I’d already filled a passport. Seeing the world early on gave me a big-picture view of people, cultures, and how important good communication really is.

My English is clear, my Spanish is… well, dirty 😄. I’m a long-haired, hippie-country dude who just happens to know a thing or two about tech.

I served 4 years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Communications Specialist (25C Radio Operator and 25U Signal Support Systems Specialist). In 2007, I deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, where I served as the First Sergeant’s driver and primary communications specialist for the 82nd Engineer Support Company alongside II and III Marine Expeditionary Forces — yes, I was Army, running with Marines. I was honorably discharged in 2010 and am a disabled veteran.

Since 2011, I’ve worked in both Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments. On the ISP side, I’ve done it all — setting telephone poles, lashing trunk and feeder cable, and installing internet, TV, and VoIP for homes and businesses. On the MSP side, I started on installations and the help desk, earned my Associate of Science in Computer & Network Administration, and moved into Network and Systems Engineering.

Over the years, I’ve managed systems and networks across just about every industry you can imagine: financial institutions, 911 centers, K-12 schools and charters, nonprofits, art museums, service businesses, and small home offices. My most recent role was Technical Director, overseeing IT for 13 schools and 2 school districts, along with several nonprofit organizations. I’ve seen a lot — though I’ll never claim I’ve seen it all.

This past year, I stepped out on my own here in the Colorado Springs area. I’m proud to say I’ve earned all 5-star reviews on both Thumbtack and Angi, and I bring the same care, honesty, and real-world experience to every client — whether it’s a home setup or a growing business.
